Noman Robin, a well-known filmmaker from Bangladesh, has become a programmer for the 2024 International Film Festival Manhattan (IFFM) in the USA.

This special event will happen at Looks Cinemas in NYC from October 10 to 13, 2024, combining live and online activities.

This year, IFFM will have a special section focusing on Bangladesh, supporting films made by Bangladeshi students, professionals, and non-profit organizations.

Noman shared his excitement, saying: “I’m always eager to explore new content and connect with filmmakers worldwide to grow my skills. Being a programmer is a big responsibility, and I’ll focus on Bangla films, encouraging submissions from Bangladeshi filmmakers of all levels to IFFM. I’m thankful to Luis Pedron for this learning opportunity.”

Besides his new role, Noman is touring the USA with his acclaimed documentary “Blossoms from Ash,” shown in many colleges, schools and universities, preserved by the Holocaust Museum of Washington DC.

Anyone can watch “Blossoms from Ash” on Apple TV and Amazon Prime, produced by Alexander Blum.
